Accommodation Developments
In 2010/11, the University is redeveloping its accommodation. By September 2011, there will be 476 new en-suite rooms on the Treforest campus. Once the development is complete, it will significantly improve the accommodation options on offer to first year students and is expected to create an even greater community spirit on the main campus.
The development will provide:
- 360 en-suite bedrooms
- 96 premium en-suite bedrooms
- 20 studio apartments

In addition to the 730 existing en-suite bedrooms in Glamorgan Court, the new development will allow us to offer students enhanced options to suit their personal circumstances and lifestyle.
Included in the accommodation developments is a student social facility, which will enable students to socialise and hold events. The facility will include a wide range of vending machines and a laundry facility with 24-hour access. The building will be availabe to students during vacation periods, which will benefit our international students, enabling them to get together during these quiet periods when there are limited activities available on campus. This will also enable the University to facilitate some social events, such as cookery lessons and curry nights and allow the University to get general feedback from residents.
